Kalahari

What Brinley liked about our overnight to Kalahari : Going on rides that she was actually under the height limit to ride. Swimming in the warm hot tub. Eating fast food.

What Mommy liked about Kalahari: Having Daddy around. Watching Brinley giddy with excitement when we arrived. A change from our typical daily routine.

What Daddy liked about Kalahari: Not working. Playing with Brinley in the pools. Discovering his ability to surf on the wave machine.

What Avery liked about Kalahari: Swinging in the baby

Sunglasses

Brinley's new summer sunglasses are an official hit! She wore them all day yesterday and even insisted on wearing them while she brushed her teeth before bed.

Stampin' Up

If you were to visit our home on the third Wed. and Thurs. of any given month you would be welcomed into "Stampin' Up Headquarters," as Cody calls it. Today he even answered the phone "Stampin' Up Headquarters how may I help you." This is the time of month when all of my club orders arrive and the dinning room transforms into sorting central! Brinley likes to help open the boxes and put the product in separate piles on the table while Avery has her own unique form of helping Mommy with her business as you can see from this picture! After all of the orders are sorted I send out a "Pick-Up Time" e-mail to 24 club members who then flock to our doorstep for the following two days to pick-up their orders. I'm happy to stick with just sorting my club orders, I send all of my workshop orders to the hostesses home for sorting and delivery.

I like to walk with Grandma, Her steps are short like mine. She doesn't say "Now hurry up", She always takes her time. I like to walk with grandma, Her eyes see things like mine do -Wee pebbles bright, a funny cloud, Half hidden drops of dew. Most people have to hurry, They don't stop and see I'm glad that God made Grandma.Unrushed, and young like me. We all love and miss you Mom!

Making new friends.

New home, new state and new friends. This is Kirsten and Lorin. They live around the corner and have become great friends! Once a week they come play at our home and once a week Brinley and Avery go play at their home. This special time has become the Mommy grocery shopping time, so it works out great for all involved!

Spring is trying to come!

Last week we enjoyed a few hours outside in the nearly 70 degree weather. Two days later it snowed! While we were out Brinley rekindled her love for the trampoline and Avery experienced a swing for the first time! Yesterday the sun peaked though the clouds once more and I took the girls for a beautiful but chilly afternoon hour long walk down to "the woods."
