Easter!

Our first Easter in Ohio turned out to be a very cold and snowy one, but that did not dull Brinley's excitement one bit. On Saturday we died 12 Easter eggs and spent time talking about why we celebrate Easter. On Sunday Brinley came into our room bright and early anxious to search for her Easter eggs, but the Easter bunny had not yet completed hiding them. SO Brinley and I spent a few extra minutes upstairs talking about how excited she was while Mr. Easter bunny finished his hiding. The hunt took all of maybe 10 minutes and little miss Avery slept right though it. We were determined to let the girls wear their matching spring dresses yesterday even though it was freezing. We layered them with undershirts, tee shirts and coats to make this possible. Here are a few pictures from the last two days. We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Easter!

Pre-school

Brinley loves to participate in choosing her clothes and hairstyle each morning. I give her two choices of clothing and two choices of hari-do's to decide between. She was very excited this particular morning when I presented her with a new summer skirt and sandals. Next year Brinley will be attending a different pre-school program. We call it the "4 year old pre-school." The other morning as we were getting ready for the day tears began to roll down her face as she exclaimed "Mommy, I just want to stay at my 3 year old pre-school forever. I love it there." She is so sweet and can be highly sensitive. Most days she is actually very excited to grow older and go to kindergarten on the school bus like her friend Paige does.

Funny Face

Recently Avery has begun to pull a very funny face. I tried, unsuccessfully, to capture it yesterday morning. She pulls her lips tight over her gums and puckers up at the same time. It's cute and quite silly. As you can see she is nice and healthy thriving off of breast milk, rice cereal and one vegetable a day!

The Columbus Zoo!

Yesterday we headed off to the Zoo with 4 other Mommy's to get outside and enjoy the warm weather. Avery screamed in her car seat the entire 30 minute drive there (very unusual behavior for Avery) because we sacrificed her morning nap for the sake of our trip to the Zoo. The girls loved hanging out in the baby jogger as we strolled from one animal area to the next. All of us Mommy's created quite the walking double stroller brigade! Brinley was able to stand right up against the glass as a tiger passed back and forth right in front of her. Her favorite part of the Zoo is the aquarium!
