Ollie and Ice Skating

Ollie is seven months old now. He is totally potty trained, halleluiah!
He is naughty though and we are trying out a shock collar on him.
He chews on EVERYTHING, but we hear that will get better soon.

Poor dog has been stuck in the house all winter long,
so I'm sure he will be very happy when spring arrives.

I still very much struggle with having a dog in the house and my highly sensitive sense of smell struggles with dog smells, even small dog smells...so Ollie just may end up being one of the most bathed dogs in town.

On Monday I took the girls ice skating. Brinley's orthodontist group rents out the entire two rink facility for the families in their practice every year. They provide rentals and dinner.

What made the skating
ever so wonderful was this contraption that Apsen was able to push around the rink instead of Mommy bending down to help her skate for two hours.

Brinley and Avery happily zipped passed us again and again and again.

Rock Climbimg at Lifetime

The girls have been wanting to go rock climbing at Lifetime ever since I started teaching there and we were FINALLY able to make it work just last week.

They had no fear and scurried up the various walls several times. Aspen perhaps would have been somewhat fearful had it not been for wanting to keep right up with her big sisters.

Meanwhile Reese has her own agenda during mommy and me gymnastic
class on Thursday mornings.

Her agenda goes something like this:

"I will only do what I want to do when I want to do it. If you try to encourage me to do something I don't want to do you will only make the situation worse for everyone in the room. On any given day of class I reserve the right to lie on the floor, in any spot I choose, while all of the other children follow the circuit properly.

Needless to say Reese will not be continuing on with this class come spring quarter.

Reese

Reese loves eating her sack lunch at Lifetime after Mommy teaches classes.

Reese likes sitting on the potty although Mommy is not yet ready for potty training.

Reese is not so sure that she like's it when Dad does her hair crazy after the bath.

I LOVE you Reese!

Cookie Party 2014

Last week we hosted our traditional Valentine Cookie Party...with a twist.
This year we made it into a girls party and let the children each invite some friends.

We started off with some fun games like:

*Picking up smarties with chopsticks as fast as you can.
*Hershey kiss memory.
*Simon says.
*Valentine mad libs.

Then it was on to the big event of the night...

What beautiful cookies they created!

I believe this one may have won the "candy mountain" prize!

It was a fun, loud and memorable party.

Half Birthday Celebrations

Cody had the great idea of marking the children's half birthday's
with a mini family celebration.

(Brinley and Reese checking on Avery's half birthday treats)

It has become on of our family traditions.

It's a fun and simple way to remind each child of how much we love and cherish them.
