Kelty's trip continued

The remainder of Kelty's trip was delightful.
Cody and Kelty took the big girls ice skating.

Good news = The girls did great and emerged without injury.

Bad news = Kelty dove over Avery who had fallen to avoid falling on top of her and ended up with a huge hematoma on her knee which left behind one incredible bruise.

Cody fell flat on his stomach while helping another child and is now suffering from
 a very painful broken rib.

It was priceless to have Kelty often holding miss fussy pants while I cooked!
Reese was completely content moving about the house snuggled in Kelty's arms.

And what would a Kelty visit be without stage make-up and movie making magic.
Here you can see Kelty filming the girls as they act out a scene from Wicked.

A big thank you to Duane and Rella for letting go of mommy and wife for a time
so that we could enjoy her again. We so love our Aunt Kelty!

Kelty is here!

It has been so fun to have Aunt Kelty in town.

Once again she made all the necessary arrangements to leave her daughter and husband
so that she could spend time with our family.

She brought several activities along from Utah to do with the girls.

One of the activities was painting birdhouses. The girls loved it!

Yesterday we attended an OSU VS. Michigan Gymnastics meet.
Because the OSU head coach is in our ward we get updates from
his wife to let us know when the free meets take place.

They are so talented and truly amazing to watch!

They girls love to watch video's that Uncle Duane has created
with video clips and pictures of past family gatherings.
Here they are huddled around Kelty's computer doing just that.

Tonight we had our annual cookie decorating party.
It was fun to actually have some family here for the occasion!

Can we say sugar high???

Life is good, skies are still oh so gray around here.

Happy February

We are off to a great month of love.

We "heart-attacked" our neighbors door this week because "heart attack a neighbors door" was one of the assignments we picked out of our "Love Jar" to show love that day."

For our first FHE of the month we heart-attacked our family.
Each person was given five hearts to write one thing they
loved about each sibling/parent,
then we hung them on the kitchen cabinets.

There is never a lack in beautifully colored masterpieces in our home...

or daily dressing up!

On Thursday's I get to spend some date time with each of the big girls when they
switch off taking their
Irish dance lessons.

Last week while it was Avery's turn in dance Brinley and I enjoyed a bagel
and homework time at Einstein Brothers Bagels.

On Saturday we went on our first annual mother/daughter Valentines date
and experienced our very first mother/daughter pedicure together.

It was fun and quite special and will most likely only happen one time a year!

After our nails dried we walked next door for ice cream and then headed to the store for the girls to pick out their school Valentines cards.

We wrapped up the week with some rides on the human amusement ride.

Cheers.
