This is a MUDDY obstacle course and loads of fun for the kids.
It was so FREEZING cold that SEPTEMBER day that Cody braved the weather to support Avery while the little girls froze in the car, away from the wind, and I took care of things on the home front.
The weather didn't bother Avery one bit.
She decided to go through the course a second time!
Aspen loves to wear makeup and has asked me consistently,
from the time she could talk, if I will put makeup on her....daily!
Most often times the answer is no, but when it is yes she is over the moon thrilled.
Here is Abby at the Dayton Feis doing some stage makeup on Aspen.
Here she is opening a few gifts that arrived from family out of town.
We just love that ear to ear smile!
The week before her birthday we surprised the girls by taking them all to see
The Lion King on Broadway. We all loved it!
This is the birthday cake she made!
Dana and Bryson stopped by to join us for cake and ice cream on the night of her actual birthday.
Aspen is such an important part of our family.
She provides an important example in our family of one who is willing to share
and follow directions without complaining.
At the end of last year her pre-school teacher pulled me aside and commented on how impressed she had been throughout the year by Aspen's maturity in caring for and loving other classmates, particularly those with disabilities.
Her teacher went on to express several specific instances where she was taken by what an
"old soul" and special friend Aspen was.
We are so thankful that Aspen continues to have a healthy, recovered, club foot.
She calls it her "little foot" because it is two sizes smaller than her other foot.
Happy Birthday to my precious third born baby girl!
This video provides a little recap of those years of treatment.
